Food drives are so important because they supplement what the Licking County Food Pantry Network receives from the food industry and available government commodities.
When you come to the picnic, please bring a non-perishable food item and donate them in the designated drop off area(s). Below are some ideas of great items to bring. Please don't include perishable items with your food drive collection (i.e. fresh fruit, bread, fresh potatoes, etc.). We are also unable to accept homemade or home-canned foods.

The Licking County Food Pantry Network is a distribution center for the 22 pantries in Licking County that serve emergency food supplies to hungry individuals and families. It is a Subsidiary Distribution Organization of the Mid Ohio Food Bank, and as such, participates in Second Harvest distributions. Second Harvest is the national organization that distributes food for major producers and grocery chains, making sure that it is given to the hungry instead of being dumped.
